Born on 15 Nov 2025,
Driven by Purpose

Back to Village India Foundation was officially incorporated on 15 November 2025 as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013 — founded by rural development practitioners with over two decades of ground-level experience with farmers, SHGs, and rural communities across India.

Though newly formed, the Foundation is backed by a founding team with a demonstrated track record of managing large-scale CSR programs, organic agriculture transitions, and livelihood initiatives — now channelled through this dedicated, independent institution.

We are currently in our founding phase, actively building partnerships with corporates, government agencies, and development organisations to launch our first programs in 2025–26.

Organic Agriculture Promotion

Converting conventional farms to certified organic systems, building producer groups, and developing direct market linkages under PKVY, NPOP, and PGS-India frameworks.

Women & SHG Empowerment

Mobilizing women into Self-Help Groups, building their leadership, financial literacy, and enterprise skills — turning homemakers into entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Livelihood & Skill Development

Vocational training, micro-enterprise development, and income diversification through allied activities like poultry, dairy, craft revival, and agri-processing units.

Agri-Value Chain Development

Setting up Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), agri-processing units, and market linkages to reduce middlemen dependency and increase farmer income at the farm gate.

Cultural & Craft Revival

Reviving traditional art forms — Mithila painting, Eri Silk weaving, bamboo crafts — as sustainable livelihood and cultural heritage preservation for artisan communities.
